Gary and Merril are wonderful hosts. From the time we booked, helping us with planning our sky watching trip, to our arrival late in the evening and making us a beautiful chai, to the attentive care we received, the simple but luxurious and private accommodation, the astronomy session with Gary in the observatory, the shooting stars from the viewing platform, and the creative and delicious breakfasts served up each day, we had a delightful stay that exceeded our expectations. Merril is an excellent healer and we enjoyed very relaxing massages. She was also very caring during the first couple of days where I wasn’t feeling quite 100%. The photographs don’t do justice to how nice the living area is. The stars!!! We were delighted by being able to see the milky way in all its glory and spotted several shooting stars and planets. Gary is very knowledgable and gave us an excellent information session with the telescope. Merril is a creative and accommodating cook and we were extremely well catered for. We will definitely be back.

Gary & Merril were lovely hosts, they made us feel very welcome. The room was lovely spacious & clean. We spent some time when we first arriving, stargazing through their telescope from the observatory, which was pretty awesome. Seeing Saturn & it’s rings was pretty amazing. Breakfast was delicious, which was a very nice surprise. We would recommend Gary & Merril’s place.

Staying with Gary and Merril was a pure delight and I don’t think our trip would have been as enjoyable without their company. They were very welcoming and we enjoyed the interesting chats we had with them. Gary took us out to the observatory which was so enlightening and Merril gave us some insight into her lovely paintings. The rooms we stayed in were homely and tidy and we really got to enjoy the quiet countryside. I’d also like to give an honourable mention to Frankie the dog for being a bundle of joy.

Such a nice place to stay , very welcoming and what a great room , Gary and Merril were very interesting to talk to and what a relaxing environment, I would definitely recommend Merril’s healing massage , will be back again for sure.

We had so much fun during our stay with Gary and Merril. The kids are still talking about it as one of the highlights of their visit to Australia.

Our family of four (2 adults & 2 teens) had a wonderful week staying in Gary and Merril’s unique B&B accommodation. Gary and Merril were very welcoming, with great local knowledge and friendly conversation. The rooms were cosy and warm and the beds blissfully comfortable. Separated from the main house, they are private and spacious, with our own fridge, TV and lovely bathroom with large shower. Everything was extremely clean, with crisp sheets and plenty of warm doonas for the cool mountain nights. We were lucky enough to start our days with a delicious hot breakfast and then, after exploring the Warrumbungles, end them in front of the fire with a gourmet 2 course meal cooked by our hosts. The big bonus were the nights in the Observatory learning about the awe inspiring sea of stars in the night sky with a very knowledgable Gary. What a great experience! Thanks Gary and Merril for such a wonderful week : )

We felt relaxed and welcome with Gary and Mel in their special unique Accommodation. The unit is so clean warm and comfortable the bed luxury, we slept so well after a long day travelling. We cooked dinner in the well equipped kitchen. Gary treated us to their Observatory with the marvels of Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and more simply wonderful. Thanks for a lovely stay and keep in touch.
